The Band Members...
Vince Rabaut (The Bassist) 
Vince Rabaut - An established and outstanding bassist, Vinnie has also played out in several bands ranging from funk/rap “Baba Cool” to jam bands, to Dave Mathews acoustic cover bands. His stage presence is an added feature to his already top notch bass skills. It was fitting to bring him into the new arena of alternative rock as this master of style stretched his limits once more. Currently, he is working on projects led by Steve Dely ("Smokestack Lightning") and Chris Handlozer (solo project). Find out more about Vinnie and what he's up to at www.pimpalot.com. |
Chris Carpenter (The Drummer) 
Chris Carpenter - Chris was a hidden jewel that Shaw found and recruited. Having a rather quiet stretch for the past few years, Chris has been known to have an extremely natural feel on the drums. He never settles for second best and pushes himself to be the premier drummer in the metro detroit area and has proven himself to be just that. Several acknowledgements have come from very skilled musicians noting his playing on "Absence" and "Fall Away" to be outstanding. He was also in “The Blue Falls Band” (1 album, 50 plus shows) and is currently playing with Steve and Vince in "Smokestack Lightning". |
Steve Dely (The Guitarist) 
Steve Dely - Steve was a late addition to the Brad Shaw project that turned out to be blessing in disguise. Steve has played in several bands including "Melt" (1 album, hundreds of shows) and most currently has embarked on a solo career as vocalist and lead guitarist of "Smokestack Lightning" backed by Vince Rabaut and Chris Carpenter. Steve uses several guitars and amps; on Absence, he used a Mesa Boogie with his Fender Stratocaster and a Peace Maker amp for leads. On Fall Away, he used the same guitar with a Marshall amplifier.
